Job Details

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to look for challenges in facilitating easy application development and even refine existing codebases to help them scale across the complexities of deployment. Software Engineers work closely with Red Hat's engineering unit and, product management groups to ensure delivery of excellent and technically polished tools for partners and developers.

Primary job responsibilities
Undertake technical contributions in the design and development along with sustaining engineering for various components that are part of the Software Certification Program
Undertake activities relevant to the Developer Services Program in terms of deliverables across the phases as defined by Product Management and, other stakeholders in the program
Design and develop APIs to be consumed by partners and developers as part of the content of the Software Certification Program

Required skills
0-1 year of experience in application development on Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
Previous experience with OpenStack or other IaaS and PaaS platforms would be preferred
Exposure to automated test suites and test case development
Knowledge of virtualized environments and hardware interdependencies
Knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Ruby, Bash, and Perl
Exposure to automated test suites and test case development
