Job Details

The ITOPs/ Systems Engineer (Entry Level) will be responsible for the deployment, administration, monitoring, analysis and support of Trimble’s application services and the systems, servers, and databases on which they are deployed. The services run on 24x7 mission critical, high-availability systems with data replication and disaster recovery across multiple data centers. The IT operations/Systems Engineer will conduct systems monitoring and support activities such as application software updates, maintaining backup scripts, and maintaining and automating monitoring systems logs, monitoring and reporting exceptions and errors. The Systems Engineer will directly support the ITOps/system lead in incident reporting and problem resolution.

 Position Requirements:

·         The candidate should have a degree in an IT related field or equivalent training and experience managing systems in an enterprise, mission critical environment.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to solve complex problems and face challanges to troubleshoot

·         Experience installing, configuring, and managing VMware, Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems.

·         Knowledge of  MS SQL 2005 & 2008

·         Interest in learning new disciplines.

·         Knowledge of  IP networking

·         Flexibility to work off-hours to accommodate scheduled changes.

·         Ability to be on call 24x7 on a weekly rotation.
