Job Details
Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:
* Execute software testing and develop test cases and test plans
* Install and configure software products on various platforms
* Develop and maintain automated software tests
* Report software defects and track quality metrics such as defect counts and test coverage
* Define and generate quality metrics and key performance indicators
* Define and roll out process improvements and participate in process audits
Education and Experience:
* Bachelors degree, preferably Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field
* 1-4 years experience in software quality assurance, software development, software technical support, or related field
* Knowledge of software development or quality assurance methodologies and terminology
* Experience in automated testing, software programming, or software scripting would be an advantage
* Exposure to any web-based applications, especially PDM/PLM, would be an advantage
* Exposure to PDM/PLM concepts such as Bill of Material or Change Management beneficial
* Strong written and spoken English communication skills
* Skilled in communicating with a globally distributed team comprising cross functional team members such as product managers, software engineers, and technical support engineers
* Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies
* Experience using Windows or UNIX operating systems
Experience with scripting tools like PERL, Ruby, Python and building custom tools will be an added advantage.
